Tyler, an 8-year-old boy, wanted to help his grandmother, Martha, who was in the hospital. Knowing how much fresh fruit had helped him recover from an illness, he decided to buy a selection of fruits, including oranges, to help her fight pneumonia. Tyler had saved up $42.50 in his piggy bank and rushed to the local grocery store to buy the fruits. However, when he handed the money to the cashier, he realized he was $14 short.

Instead of accepting the fruits for free, Tyler proposed a riddle challenge to the store owner, Stella. He said if she couldn’t answer, she would have to pay him $14, but if she did, he would ask his father for the extra money.
