Simon Cowell has replied to reports that he is suffering from a’mystery ailment’ after being forced to miss part of the recent Britain’s Got Talent auditions.
The show’s judge has returned to the panel, auditioning some of the talent available in the UK ahead of the new series.
The ITV show is slated to return in the spring, with Simon Cowell returning alongside Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli, as well as hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.
The auditions for the new season began in London last month, with Manchester auditions expected to take place this week. However, as they prepare to go north, Simon turned to social media to address claims that he was forced to withdraw from recent Britain’s Got Talent filming due to sickness.
The music mogul, 64, shared an Instagram photo of himself sitting on the judging panel, wearing his characteristic gray sweater and tinted glasses.
He told his millions of followers in the caption, “I just found out according to the internet, I have a “mystery ailment.”
For those who are concerned, I missed two auditions at the end of one day two weeks ago due to migraines caused by long days in the filming lights.”
